HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR SIZE

We create our footwear using lasts based on real feet. Because of this we make it easy to find your perfect fit.

1st. Step onto a piece of paper and with a pen mark just behind your heel and in front of your longest toe.

2nd. Do this for both feet and then measure the centimeters between these lines. This measurement is your Mondopoint.

3rd. Using the measurement from your longest foot find your correlating size below.

nicely made boots, like traditional leather boots.

I looked for quite a while to find a nice pair of leather boots with no Gore-tex. I ordered these according to the measuring advice on the web site, and wish I had ordered a half size larger so that I could use a thick insole. I normally wear a mens 8 or even 8.5 in hiking boots, but according to my actual measurements I am a size 7.5 US mens. I measure about 25.5 cm in length. These boots fit me ok with a medium to light sock with the stock footbed, but I would like to have a bit more volume and width in the toebox. I have a short foot with a wide forefoot. The 7.5 I ordered fit me great in length, but may be just a tad too narrow in the toe, and a bit low in volume. I have not had a real chance to wear these yet except for just around the house as I am recovering from an injury, but I have high hopes that they will break in with a bit of wearing. They do seem like very well made boots with high quality materials and a nice mid weight design. Not a super heavy duty boot, but not too light either, perfect hopefully for the type of on trail hiking I will likely be doing this summer. These are real craftsman boots of the type that are getting harder to find. I just wish I could find a local distributor for in person fitting.
Update to my review; After wearing these for a very short time, the sizing seems to be perfect for me! I still have not worn these on a "real" hike yet because of my recovery from injury, but the boots have become very comfortable just wearing them on my short level walks, and I just wanted to let everyone who is on the fence about sizing know that the size chart is accurate.
I hope that AKU continues to make this boot and other similar quality boots, because there are not very many boots on the market made with this quality and without Gore-tex.

Solid 4 out of 5

These are excellent for off trail use, been using for hunting in fairly rugged terrain and so far they are breaking in nicely. Only real complaint is the insole. Have another pair of AKUs and the insole is much better than the one in the Tribute II. But really like the feel and support when moving on steep terrain and through wet marsh areas.
