Shift work as a nurse is hard on the feet so one becomes fairly good at assessing shoe quality and I am pleased to be among those who recommend AKU shoes as well made, comfortable and durable!

J'adore ma paire de Rapida evo gtx. Je les ai acheté pour me promener en ville et il y a pas plus confortable que cette paire. Je les portent tous les jours depuis deux mois et je ne regrette pas cet achat. De plus, j'ai jamais a me soucier de la pluie comme ils sont en gore-tex.

After a summer of working as a fishing guide, wearing these almost every day, I can vouch for their durability. I have worn them hard, and they have held up admirably. They were waterproof in the rain. Very comfortable still.
The sole is quite soft, but this is not made for rugged terrain.

My wife and I both have a pair of these shoes, and they are comfortable, very supportive, and required zero break-in time

Even better than the pilgrim DS. ZERO break in tine. Not just great as a quick set of footwear for raids, but wnough support for a 24-48hrs mission with a 45lbs pack.

Rocket DFS GTX - Women's

I just returned from a 200km walk, with a 8kg backpack. I wore these shoes. I was walking on paths, roads and the sides of roads. I was averaging about 22km a day with my pack. Not a single blister, or hot spot! I will be testing them out this fall in the Mexican mountains and hope they perform as well. Unfortunately they did not stop the torrential rainstorm I walked in, however neither did any of my partners stay dry with their 'waterproof' shoes.

My boot wish list for a week of intermediate level hiking last year in the Azores: Generous toe box width but heel not too wide. Slightly forward leaning posture for longer flat trails. Lateral and vertical stiffness for volcano climbing treks. Durable (e.g. stands up to abrasive rock). Not too heavy. Waterproof. Some breathability. Loose surface traction.
This boot delivered fully on every criterion. Bonus: they look good.

By far one of the most stylish boots ive ever worn, surprisingly breathable for goretex as well and has a good amount of cushioning as well!

I have difficulty with footwear. There is a long history of shoes and boots that have failed in comfort, or durability, or both. Although I cannot vouch for durability yet, the comfort of these is unsurpassed.
These are a little narrower than the Riserva High I also own. I have not tested their water-resistance, but the Riserva were perfect. These are a very flexible comfortable hiker.
I have ordered another pair for my son and my daughter.

Nice stiff sole and good arch support. Quality construction throughout. Decent traction though mud, ice and rock. Sizing is perfect with room for a sock - just like a boot should be.

Used these boots in cold, warm and wet environments. In technical terrain and in aircrafts. Best all around boots I own and they look good.
