HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR SIZE
We create our footwear using lasts based on real feet. Because of this we make it easy to find your perfect fit.
1st. Step onto a piece of paper and with a pen mark just behind your heel and in front of your longest toe.
2nd. Do this for both feet and then measure the centimeters between these lines. This measurement is your Mondopoint.
3rd. Using the measurement from your longest foot find your correlating size below.
I received my pair of Trekkers in Spring of 2021. I have since taken them for adventures on trails in both my home state of Vermont and also in New Hampshire. While I feel that the boots and I are still in the "getting to know you" phase, I must say that I am pretty impressed. My feet have no issue telling me when they don't like a pair of shoes or boots. Blisters used to be a constant struggle and I found myself turning towards lighter weight footwear. With some longer hikes in the rugged White Mountains on the agenda for this year though, I felt it was time to try a more sturdy boot. Enter the AKU Trekkers. I find if I take the time to lace them up correctly, they don't move around much on my feet. I always retie my boots along the hike as well because sometimes they loosen a bit. But I think that this is the start of a beautiful friendship between my feet and the Trekkers. I see many happy adventures in the future. :)
Love the boots - nice and stiff but comfy and definitely protective if you're stomping through bush - haven't had any punctures from sticks and sharp stumps. they can be a little bit of a sloppy fit if you don't have the laces done properly - I backward lace the transition hooks and double down the top hook to keep them tight. My only "complaint" is I wish they were 1-2 inches taller. Looks like they will also work with snowshoes.
I received my pair of Trekker Pro boots in mid 2019 and have been trekking with them since then. I have had many pairs of boots in the past since I am a founder of a trekking social enterprise and lead treks all over the world but Trekker Pro beats all of them when it comes to comfort and performance. I have led treks in the Andes of Peru, Patagonia in Chile and Argentina and now in Mongolia where I am currently adventuring during the pandemic. It has truly been my go to boots. I never had any pain or blisters from using them. I love the stability and protection it provides on rocky terrain such as the time I trekked in Patagonia for 9 days or more. I've had moments when I almost sustained a twisted ankle but thanks to the built in support of these boots, I was able to avoid an injury on the trail. It's also perfect for cold weather, high altitude treks as they keep me warm. I have a host of hard core adventures in mind for the future and these boots are definitely joining me every step of the way.
