I needed to return my boots twice and the customer service (Patricia) was helpful and friendly! The boots themselves are high quality: if you are between sizes, I definitely recommend choosing the larger size as I found they fit smaller than anticipated.
Semble de construction a toute épreuve ! Légère avec semelle rigide. Nouvelle botte favorite
I had written a previous review for these after some light use. Unfortunately after about a year and a half of similar use the gore tex membrane failed somewhere in the toe box. AKU replaced them within a couple of days with a new set, the process was simple and free of frustration. Huge thumbs up to AKU on this.
I broke in my new set for about a month before using them on a 100km backpacking trek through the Akshayuk Pass in Nunavut. These boots performed perfectly in all conditions. We ranged in conditions from dry sand to a full on snowstorm. The grip throughout was excellent, they provided excellent support, 0 blisters only one hotspot on the first day from traversing a side slope all day. They breathed well, maintained their waterproofing, were cool enough in the sun but warm enough in the snow and ice.The temperature ranged from about +5⁰C during the day to -9⁰C overnight. I started with about a 55lb load for the first few days until we started into the food and fuel I was carrying down to about 40lbs by the end. The boots provided excellent support and cushioning, great traction through sand, snow, ice, mud, bogs, boulders and scree. I pulled the insoles out each night and left the boots in the tent vestibule to dry, by the morning any residual moisture had evaporated. The laces fastened securely and held up well to the lace hooks on my gaiters, pants and rain pants. I would absolutely use these again on this or any other hike.
